Reports to: Marina Manager
Position Summary:
The Marine Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining boats, marine engines, personal watercraft units, off-road vehicles, and related systems to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. This position performs inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs while accurately documenting work performed. The service technician works closely with service department personnel including; management, parts, warranty, and service advisors to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, accurately, to customer standards, and within established timelines.

Work environment: Work occurs in indoor and outdoor settings, often in variable weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. The noise level is typically moderate to loud. Exposure to mechanical fluids, oils and cleaning products is common. This role involves working near and around water, docks and marine equipment. Occasional travel between storage yards or customer sites is required.
Physical demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, climb, lift and carry heavy loads. Must be able to maneuver safely on and round vessels, trailers and uneven surfaces. Requires hand-eye coordination for operating equipment and machinery. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Safety awareness, balance and stamina are essential.
